Student Application for Launch Lab

Launch Lab is a free 9-session entrepreneurship program for Clark County teenagers ages 13 to 18, where students develop actual businesses with real products, services, pricing, and customers.

How to Apply — Two Steps

Applying to Launch Lab takes two parts: a short video and a written form. Both go to John Chaney.

Record your video Record a 60–90 second video answering the three prompts below, and email it to john.chaney1970@icloud.com (or reach out at 859-556-2902 with questions).

Complete the written application Fill out the application form below and submit it — either directly through this page's form, or by emailing it to the same address.

Personal introduction Your name, age, school, and one non-academic fact about yourself.

Your motivation Why do you want to join Launch Lab?

Your idea Describe a business idea or problem you'd want to solve — it's OK if you don't have one yet.

You do not need a business idea to apply — ideas can be developed during the program.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply?

Clark County Connection

Resident of Clark County or a student at a Clark County school.

Ages 13–18

Open to Clark County teenagers within this age range.

Available for All Nine Sessions

Able to attend every session of the program.

Soft Launch Event

Willing to participate in the public Soft Launch Event.

Parental/Guardian Consent

Has permission from a parent or guardian to participate.
