WCEA Pitch Night Judge Guide & Scoring Rubric

Program Document · Given to Every Pitch Night Judge · Session 9

This is the complete guide for the Clark County business professionals judging Pitch Night — what the event is and isn't (a real competition for $250 in seed money, not a participation trophy), the judge's role (be present, be honest, score independently), and a minute-by-minute event format from the pre-event briefing through the open reception. The scoring rubric covers four criteria — Evidence, Business Clarity, the $250 Ask, and Delivery — each scored 1 to 3, with a built-in tie-breaker process. It includes the actual individual scoresheet judges fill out per pitcher, including a recommendation field for Academy priority enrollment, and a Program Director summary sheet for tallying all judges' scores and recording how the prize was disbursed.
