WCEA Student Business Category Guidelines

Program Document · Every Student Reviews Before Public Event Clearance
This is the screen every business idea passes through before anyone gets near a Soft Launch Event or Pitch Night — what's flatly permitted, what needs extra paperwork, and what's off the table no matter what. The permitted list runs wide: crafts, cottage food, digital services, tutoring, lawn care, pet care, and more. Nine categories need a closer look first, working hand-in-hand with the Higher-Risk Acknowledgment Form. And ten categories are prohibited outright, full stop, regardless of age or legality — alcohol, tobacco, weapons, gambling, MLMs, and anything making an unverified medical claim. It closes with a reminder that WCEA always has the final say on what it chooses to promote, even for an idea that's technically permitted.
