WCEA Volunteer Code of Conduct

Program Document · Read and Signed Before First Student Contact
This is the one document every coach, mentor, judge, and second adult should be able to recite from memory — ten sections, no ambiguity. It opens with the rule that matters most, set apart in its own box: contact with students happens only during official sessions, in person, with a second adult present, by any method, no exceptions. It walks through the Two-Adult Rule, transportation, gifts, confidentiality, and professional boundaries, then gives the exact sequence to follow if a student discloses something — the hotline first, the Program Director immediately after. It closes with what happens if any of it is violated, stated plainly, and a signature line confirming the volunteer read all of it before ever meeting a student.
