Non-Discrimination Policy
This policy commits WCEA to equal access across every aspect of the program — recruitment, enrollment, sessions, public events, mentoring, sponsor relationships, and online activity — and prohibits discrimination, harassment, bullying, and retaliation based on a wide list of protected characteristics, going beyond what Kentucky and federal law require (explicitly including gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, immigration status, and several others). It establishes a full disability accommodation framework covering program participation, venue and vendor accessibility, and digital accessibility, with a two-business-day response commitment for any accommodation request. Complaints are acknowledged within 2 days and investigated within 30, with mandatory law enforcement reporting for anything that may be criminal — handled by the Program Director, or by the Board Chair if the Program Director is the one involved. It also holds student businesses to the same equal-service standard as WCEA itself, including specific obligations for any student exploring a lodging or short-term rental concept.
