WCEA Student Grievance Procedure

Program Document · Shared with Students and Families at Enrollment

This is the clear path students and families have for raising a concern that isn't a safety issue — those go straight to the Program Director or Board Chair instead, per the Youth Protection and Boundary Policies. For everything else, it's a three-step process: an informal conversation with the Program Director first (resolved within 3 business days in most cases), a formal written grievance to the Board Chair if that doesn't resolve it (acknowledged in 5 business days, answered in 15), and a full board review as a final, reserved-for-serious-concerns step, with the board's decision being final. It explicitly protects against retaliation for filing a good-faith concern, and draws a clear line around what it doesn't cover — judging decisions, business outcomes, and general programmatic feedback.
